Christina Masciotti studied playwriting at Brown University and holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU. She has developed her work at The New Group, and in artist residencies at chashama, The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, and The Lower East Side Tenement Museum Theater. Her work has been presented at venues including The New Group/new works series, HERE, Performance Space 122, Dixon Place, the Ontological-Hysteric Theatre, the International Theatre Institute (Athens, Greece) and The Wyomissing Institute of the Arts (PA). She has been a finalist for the Princess Grace Award, and nominated for the Susan Smith Blackburn Award and The Barrie and Bernice Stavis Playwright Award. She is currently a Support Performing Artists Fund Fellow, and at work on a new play called Voluntary Commitment.
